Code Logic Master Challenge User Guide

Master the rules, understand codebreaking odds, and leverage deduction to crack any secret sequence.

How to Play Step-by-Step

  1. Assemble Your Guess: Tap or drag colored pegs into the active row slots to build your test sequence.
  2. Submit Your Attempt: Tap Submit (or let Auto-Guess trigger automatically once the row is filled).
  3. Analyze Feedback Clues: Evaluate the feedback pegs returned beside your row to deduce accurate colors and positions.
  4. Deduce & Adjust: Lock in confirmed positions, eliminate incorrect colors, and refine your sequence on the next row.
  5. Crack the Secret: Identify the full secret sequence within the allowed rows (8–15 guesses) to win!

🕵️ The Objective

Whether you're challenging yourself against the computer or going toe-to-toe with a friend, the goal is the same: crack the secret sequence of colored pegs before your guesses run out. Every move is a calculated risk, and every clue brings you one step closer to unraveling the code.

Understanding the Clue System

After each guess, you receive instant feedback. Note: The order of clue pegs does not correspond to specific slot positions—they only summarize total matches in that row.

⚫
Black Peg

Exact Match: Right color in the exact correct position.

⚪
White Peg

Color Match: Right color, but in the wrong spot.

❌
No Peg

Silence: That color is not used in the secret code.

📊 Code Breaking Odds & Possible Combinations

Difficulty scales directly with code length (pegs), palette size (colors), and whether repeated colors are permitted:

Classic Standard 4 Pegs 6 Colors Yes (Duplicates) 1,296
Medium Challenge 5 Pegs 8 Colors Yes (Duplicates) 32,768
Hard Daily Puzzle 6 Pegs 8 Colors Yes (Duplicates) 262,144
Expert Master 8 Pegs 10 Colors Yes (Duplicates) 100,000,000

⚙️ Custom Game Options & Quality-of-Life Tools

🎯 Unique Colors Mode

⚡ Auto-Guess & One-Tap Clear

Enable Auto-Guess to submit automatically when a row is filled, or use One-Tap Clear to quickly reset an active row.

🎨 Colorblind Accessibility

Displays distinct numerical overlays on every peg so gameplay is never hindered by color perception alone.

💡 Pro Deduction Tips

  • Gather Early Data: On turn 1, choose all distinct colors to test and rule out as many options as possible.
  • Eliminate Unused Colors Instantly: If an attempt produces no clue pegs, immediately remove those colors from future moves.
  • Lock In Black Pegs: Once a black peg position is deduced, keep that color locked in place on all subsequent rows.
  • Shift White Pegs: A white peg confirms the color exists in the code—test it in a different slot position next turn.
